Our mission statement
To fully support the IICSA and VSCP and work to help survivors find their voice.
Our objectives
- To provide support to regional ambassadors and volunteers in your village, town or city to establish a national network willing to support survivors of child sexual abuse
- To develop communication links with the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA)
- To work with the IICSA to ensure Voicing CSA builds a solid framework of support and ‘aftercare’ to ensure survivors do not feel isolated and they are in touch with appropriate support organisations
- To liaise where appropriate with the Victims’ and Survivors Consultative Panel (VSCP)
Ensure that there is proper access to support services for all that attend a Voicing CSA meeting whether that person gives evidence to the IICSA or not - To inform the IICSA the progress of Voicing CSA and to feedback the outcomes of all Voicing CSA meetings to the IICSA and Voicing CSA website
- To assist regional ambassadors in the development of a regional meeting and follow up support
- To work towards raising awareness of the IICSA in areas that need to be considered such as prisons, secure units, psychiatric hospitals, homeless organisations and support networks. The list is not exhaustive
